Ingredients:
- Large shrimp (peeled and deveined): 400g
- Garlic: 8–10 cloves (thinly sliced)
- Olive oil: 1/3 cup (high-quality extra virgin)
- Dried red chili (sliced or whole): 2 (optional, adjust to taste)
- Parsley (chopped): 2 tbsp
- Salt: to taste
- Lemon juice: a dash (optional)
- Bread (for serving)
Preparation:
- Prep the Shrimp:
- Rinse and clean the shrimp. Lightly salt them if desired.
- Sauté Garlic:
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add the sliced garlic and cook gently until golden brown. Do not let it burn, or it will turn bitter.
- Add Chili and Shrimp:
- Add the dried red chili.
- Then add the shrimp and cook for 2–3 minutes, or until pink and lightly golden.
- Finish:
- Remove from heat and sprinkle chopped parsley and a dash of lemon juice on top.
Serving:
Serve immediately with fresh crusty bread or baguette, perfect for dipping into the garlicky oil.
